Job Description:Job Title: Car Aftermarket Sales - India Location: India Grade: GG12 Department: Sales Marketing Department - Lifestyle Division Reports To: Director, Sales and Marketing, India Essential Responsibilities: Harmans Lifestyle Division is charged with re-energizing all of Harmans Consumer Businesses. It coincides with the company committing to its largest ever Marketing investment. Ultimate brand relevance will come from a combination of compelling segment strategy, differentiated product roadmaps that are meaningful to consumers, significant brand investments and of course in-market execution which are all ongoing initiatives in our Lifestyle Division. Harman is now looking for a well seasoned India Region Car Aftermarket Sales leader who can leverage all of Harmans recent marketing and product development investment and sell these world class products into the India market. This position will have the objective of achieving aggressive India sales targets and executing on key retail marketing projects. Essential Responsibilities: Sales: Utilize strategic sales planning, targets and tools to monitor sales achievements. Responsible for the implementing sales programs for Car Aftermarket channel. Participate in developing and updating Harman product choices for Car Aftermarket channel. Execute the Car Aftermarket sales and marketing plan to meet the Indian countries market potential. Develop strategic partnerships with existing customers and other market players. Participate in the negotiating process with direct and indirect customers on a regular basis prior agreed with the Director of Sales and Marketing. Work with the Sales Director to define the pricing, marketing promotional channels and channels of sales. Request and receive commercial offers from customers, analyze the offers and provide necessary documents for conclusion of contracts, applications and additional agreements. Prepare the necessary reports for Director of Sales and Marketing, Represents Harman at industry trade shows and conferences Marketing: Maintains an awareness of industry trends, directions and their relevance to Customers within each given market. Assesses the accuracy of Car Aftermarket merchandise distribution and marketing across the region. Basic Qualifications: Business Competence Aftermarket sales experience with new Market penetration. (very preferable in the consumer electronics industry) Minimum of 5-10 years of India specific, Aftermarket sales. Experience in forecasting, analysis, sales, and promotion related to India Region. Consumer electronics experience Experience working with major consumer electronics or products in the retail channel. BS Degree or equivalent experience is required Desired Characteristics: Strong consumer products orientation Keen understanding of consumer wants and needs that can be effectively applied to creating market-winning retail sales strategies. Solid planning and organization skills Ability to manage complex projects and schedules necessary with this global retail operations role. Good collaboration skills Ability to effectively collaborate with people and teams from all functions within Harman plus full range of industry consumer customers. Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the box thinking Constantly pushing new ideas and programs to solve sales and market challenges. Business acumen Solid business and financial background. Other Requirements: Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
